Will there be a fireworks display over the Daugava River at the end of the Riga Birthday celebrations on 11 November Embankment?

At the end of the celebrations starting at 23:30, on the Daugava River waterfront along 11th November Embankment a spectacular multimedia show will take place. The performance will feature lasers, music, lighting, and a variety of special effects. Please note that traditional fireworks are not planned.

Will public transport in Riga be available free of charge on the holiday on August 16?

Will additional public transport services/routes be available on the holiday on August 16?

We also remind you that on nights from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday, night transport operates in Riga on the following routes:

  • Centre–Teika–Jugla–Mežciems–Teika–Centre
  • Centre–Āgenskalns Market–Zolitūde–Imanta–Centre
  • Centre–Purvciems–Pļavnieki–Dārzciems–Centre
